So yesterday, we judged the YMCA academic olympics. It was really fun. We were judges for the singing and dancing. The only hard thing to judge was the native folk dancing. I've seen a lot of it at work throughout the years, but I have no way of knowing if it's authentic, which was one of the judging criteria. I did the best I could though. We got to sit up front for the opening and closing ceremonies with a congressman. It was really neat. At the end, a group of girls came up and wanted a picture with me and the congressman. I felt special. Before the whole thing ended, we all held hands, and did a group sing. No one wanted to hold my hand. They were scared of me! So finally one of the teachers came over with his group, and he held my hand. Jared was laughing.
The show's coming along. We have 8 more days of rehearsal. The lights are up, and now all we need are some new gels. His Grandpa told me to get anything I wanted. There's lots of stuff that could make this theater better, but it's not very necessary. I'll work with what they have. Anyways, I have to go. I get to go play with the lightboard now! I'll write again soon!

Hello white girl! LOL! Perhaps you don't bite but maybe they do!
I am so happy you are having a great time and making such memories. I know when you leave the PI, you will miss the people. The hospitality and congeniality are pretty impressive. The bugs on the other hand not to mention the occasional Stuart Little...well, oy! Wish you guys were staying there longer to really get a "finished" and ready HSM> Ideally, it should become open to the public so the cost can be be recouped. Please tell J to check my email re MTI. It was 58% more! Be well, stay well. Love ya for becoming one of us, white girl!!!
